
The Grand Henham Steam Rally is a charitable organisation (charity no. 1107330) and has several beneficiaries; Wangford Community Council, Blyth Valley Rotary and the Parochial Church Councils of Sotherton, Uggeshall and Wangford-cum-Henham.
In addition, we select one or more additional good causes every year, In 2023, our chosen beneficiaries are:
- The Pear Tree Fund
Based in Halesworth, the Pear Tree Fund offers information, advice and support to people with life-changing illnesses or long-term conditions, and their families and carers. - Sole Bay Care Fund
Sole Bay Care Fund helps patients registered with Sole Bay Health Centre near Southwold and provides care and resources not routinely funded by the NHS or social services. Specialising in supporting older people, palliative care and those living with dementia, Sole Bay Care Fund aims to keep people at home or near to home for as long as possible, by providing the support and equipment they may need. - Beccles Army Cadets
Suffolk Army Cadets has 23 detachments across the county, including Beccles. Army cadets take part in exciting and challenging activities such as fieldcraft, adventure training, first aid, music, sports and shooting. Being an army cadet also helps young people to make new friends, learn leadership skills and boosts self-confidence.
In previous years, the rally has supported; Livability Icanho, Blossom Appeal, Frostenden and South Cove Village Hall, Farming Community Network (via Lowestoft and Waveney Samaritans), Beccles 3rd Brownies & Girlguiding Group, UK Sepsis Trust, East Anglian Air Ambulance, Wrentham Community First Responders, SERV Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, Southwold LIfeboat, Clinks Care Farm, Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund, the Sandra Chapman Centre at the James Paget University Hospital, St Elizabeth Hospice, the Sole Bay Care Fund, Alzheimer’s Society and the National Trust’s Dunwich Heath and Beach.
